A Bit About Me...

Neill Ettridge is the founder and principal at DrumLab UK.
Neill is considered to be one of the industry's most influential teachers and performers with a work profile that covers every corner of the international music business. Teaching credentials include in excess of 45 distinction-level students across all 8 Trinity College London grades + ATCL, LTCL & FTCL and a general pass rate of 94% in all drums practical curricula (Rock School / Trinity Rock & Pop / Trinity College London).

"I consider it an imperative part of teaching drums to come from a comprehensive professional playing environment. To be able to look, listen and impart the right information, objectively and correctly for students to truly excel at any level of development. Something paid and free generic video online instruction can never achieve."

Neill's professional playing profile include drummer for TV shows, The Voice and Idols TV series 1-6, Jerry Springer's Saturday Night & Shell Road to Fame as the regular house band member. He played for iconic bands, Mango Groove and Johnny Clegg in addition to recording and live dates with many prolific artists and numerous orchestral, corporate, TV and radio commercial engagements.
Neill has undertaken numerous international tours to Germany, Italy, France, USA, Australia and New Zealand, Russia, Poland, Hungary and Czechoslovakia with the Soweto String Quartet, top USA vocalist, Joseph Clarke, the JHB Male Voice Choir and Mango Groove. Amongst other notable engagements, Neill was invited along with two other musical luminaries to perform at the Moscow Conservatory and the Gdansk Jazz Festival in the jazz trio 'Light Years' alongside the John McLaughlin group. He also performed on drums in a landmark concert at the historical UK hand-over in Hong Kong back to China on July 1st, 1997.
Neill's current teaching activities include faculty member for Bell Percussion Academy in Chiswick and LCCM in Central London as well as drums and percussion instructor for Berkshire Maestros and Hillingdon Music Service. Until the recent lockdown, Neill recently performed with the National Symphony Orchestra and a fantastic band comprising some of London's best studio musicians, The Ministers.
