Lesson Fees & Options

 

DrumLab UK believes in total transparency in regards to rates, terms and conditions. There is no ‘sign-in’ before you can view prices or convoluted agreements, and lessons are strictly one-on-one.

Whilst the DrumLab studio boasts the best facilities and instruction available, rates have been kept to a reasonable price. The goal being that DrumLab is accessible to all drum students to enjoy at every level and budget. Sessions are billed in packages of 4 and invoiced at the outset. PayPal payment also possible. Session duration options are 30, 45, 60 minutes duration.

 

Extended block booking for sessions can be arranged. For example, a concentrated beginner course, or exam / audition deadline. 

Online DrumLab sessions through an enhanced Zoom platform are conducted in the same clear, concise an easily understood manner as the lessons in the studio.

 

All-inclusive comprehensive print and audio material are available as hardcopies in studio for practice and supporting studies (audio & supplemental notes) through a dedicated DropBox Online portal direct to your private DrumLab UK student directory.

30-Minute Lesson


A perfect starting point for youngsters and beginners or a course of 'refreshers' for intermediate players.

From the outset here are just some of the fun subjects you can expect to learn to assemble those essential building blocks of drumming:

  • Correct Drum Kit Setup

  • Stick Grips

  • Posture

  • Core Independence & Coordination 

  • Basic Rudiments

  • Introductory Rhythms & Fills

  • Counting & Timing Accuracy

45-Minute Lesson


A great middle-ground set of programmes with a more focussed study set and modules including:


  • An assessment of your current level

  • Hand & Foot Development

  • Drums Music Notation & Time Signatures

  • Core Technique & Applications 

  • Music Styles and Interpretation 

  • Dynamic Accuracy

  • Developing your Creativity 

  • Counting & Timing Accuracy

60-Minute Lesson

Although an hour lesson can just as easily be fully utilised for an extended beginner or intermediate student, this study period also serves to open a window to more advanced drums study. For an advanced, vocational or semi-professional student, DrumLab UK's Neill Ettridge can get you to where you want / need to be as player with programmes such as:


  • Music Style Analysis and Chart Interpretation 

  • Phrasing & SetUps

  • Speed Reading

  • Advanced Application of Technique

  • Ghost Notes & General Kit Dynamics

  • Advanced Ostinatos

  • Metric Modulation & Beat Displacement 

  • Odd Time Signatures 

  

A key block of 4 lessons is the standard and most popular option. This is the minimum package available (excluding a free 20 minute taster session for beginners)

Any less than 4 sessions will not yield sustainable results.
